Frank and Stella Art

 We have been learning about abstract art. It’s all about creating works of art that don’t actually look like anything. We focused on the American artist Frank Stella, who liked to make pictures using shapes like circles, triangles and rectangles.

I AM PEACE

 In Week 1 of Term 4, we did Play Make Create. This is where the teacher reads you a story and you discuss the message in the story. Then you create something based on the message and also do a piece of writing. You can use materials or make a digital creation.  This week Mrs B Read the book: The book was called 'I am peace' and it was about controlling feelings. I chose to work with Harlem, Saxdyn and Mrs B to think about some ideas.

Cross Country Week 10 Term 3

Ohaeawai kids in our cross country this year.  I came 6 in my year group.

Handwriting Week 10 Term 3

 We had to do a handwriting sample this week. My handwriting is not that good but it’s way better than the start of the year.

Maths 3D Clock Week 10 Term 3

Yesterday, for maths we had to read a step by step procedure for making a 3D clock. It was very tricky. We had to measure in centimetres to make equilateral triangles, measure the angles with a protractor to check they were 60 degrees, make a clock face and arrows and tie it all together with string. I was glad when I finished. The clock hands were the hardest part. Here is a picture of my clock.
